To start this shoe is 100% high quality. Everything about it is well put together and feels solid. The leather and the stitching make it feel like it's going to last forever. The downsides were of my own personal taste. First being the shock absorber on the bottom which sticks out 1/8th of an inch which feels funny to me when walking. The other being it feels like a dress shoe when wearing it and looks like a casual/comfy shoe on the outside. If you can live with those 2 you won't be disappointed.

I've been a runner for four decades, which can be tough on your feet and legs. These are the best shoes--the most supportive, comfortable, etc.,--I've ever had for regular wear. When not running, I wear Mephistos as often as I can. They are worth the price for that reason alone, but they also last a long time. One note: tend to run a little smaller (didn't mark that above because I knew to buy a half size smaller). In every other shoe I wear size 11. With mephisto, I wear size 10 1/2.
Wears this shoe: work, etc.--unless i have to dress up.
