I bought these because I have a couple of pairs of tan Mephisto shoes and I need them. I did have a couple of pairs of brown Mehpisto Technical socks, but they seem to have been discontinued for some reason.

I have been using a wool sock made in Canada but it is no longer available. Mephisto sounded similar so I chose it. The sock toe, sole, and heel are thicker than I expected for a "dress sock" and makes the shoe a little more cramped than I want. I am adjusting and probably will keep the six ordered but try something else when more are needed.

These from Mephisto are the best you can buy. Cushy, dressy, warm but not hot. Not inexpensive, but they appear to wear well. I now have eight pair, and I just bought six for my son who also likes them.
