    I was cautious as I read the other reviews of this sandal. The black suede is softer than the brown leather... but I really like it! It is like butter soft on your feet. The support is not obvious like in some shoes. It feels like you have nothing on your feet. Out of the box with no blisters or complaints. Yes, order a size up and they are not wide.... so be careful when you order. But I do love them and will more than likely order the brown ones too!

    This is my second pair of these shoes. I bought the first pair 13 years ago and have worn them continuously every summer. They are both comfortable and stylish, suitable for a hike as well as for a dressy casual occasion. I give them high marks for durability. They are expensive but worth it!

    I have been wearing Mephisto Altina sandals for two years. The sandals have worked very well for me--so I decided to pickup another pair. The sandals feel good on my feet and look attractive. I really enjoy them!

    The shoe fits well. True to size. The only thing that I noticed about the shoe is the sole. My original mephisto Altina which I purchases about ten years ago was leather through and through. This one has a sort of plastic sole. took a while to get use to it because it did not 'give' when walking. Other than that, the shoe is a good one.

    These are my second pair of Altina sandals. They are wonderful shoes: comfortable and well-made. The only problem that I had is that when I ordered a size 8, I received size 38 which is smaller than an 8. I then ordered a size 39 which fit just fine.
     Wears this shoe: I always bring these shoes on vacation. They are perfect for walking all day.

    This is my fourth pair of Mephistos. Once you try them other shoes just arent' comfortable anymore. They are in a class of their own, and worth every penny. I love their allrounders too, but these shoes are prettier. I have sore feet from years in commercial kitchens, Mortons Toe, bunions, and these shoes really make my feet happy! btw, shoebuy.com is the fastest of the 'no shipping easy returns' online companies.

    This is my second pair of Altina shoes. They are great for travel, especially for walking on cobblestone sidewalks. The back strap keeps your feet secure, as well.

    This is the 4th pair of Mephisto Altina's that I have purchased. They fit perfectly and they are so well made with great soles and arch support that I can wear them all day while standing. They required no break-in period - comfortable right from the start.
     Wears this shoe: At work, at home, all casual wear, except for the middle of winter.

    I do alot of walking at my job.I needed a shoe that supported my foot, as I have bad circulation and very high arches. This shoe is attractive enough to wear with summer dresses as well as slacks and jeans. I did not have to break them in. They were comfortable from the first time I tried them on. I was very impressed, and I wear them almost every day.
