Love the look of the shoe on my foot--casual and elegant. The leather is soft and beautiful. It feels so nice on my sixty-something flat feet--good arch support and the cork is great for tireless walking. I originally purchased in the tan color but returned them because the black velcro showed. (I have one swollen foot from ankle surgery, thus the black velcro showing.) I exchanged the tan ones for a black pair and they are perfect. I hope to enjoy them for years to come.

I bought this shoe because I've heard great things about Mephisto, so I'd thought I'd start with the Agave. It has now finally gotten warm enough for me to wear the shoe and give a review. Overall I like the shoe. The footbed is very comfortable, but I felt that the strap sat just a little too close to my front ankle. This could be due to the fact that my arch is a little high. The strap would rub a little bit and by late afternoon I was ready to take them off. Maybe I just need to break them in more, but for the price, I'm not sure I would repurchase.

I was having trouble with my other sandals causing me to trip and even fall. But the Mephisto Agave is so flexible that I have not tripped or fallen since I received them. They also are supremely comfortable, easy to put on and have wonderful Roman styling. I love them and have already bought two more pair.
Wears this shoe: All the time, except when sandals are inappropriate. A rare event in my life.
