This sandal is very comfortable on the footbed. However, the thong part of the shoe takes some breaking in for it to finally feel comfortable.

I am a big fan of Mephistos, and have several pairs in various styles. Unfortunately, these did not work out for me - they kept slipping off and were impossible to walk in. I think it had something to do with the footbed being very flat, and the leather on the top being too wide. I ended up giving them to a friend - hopefully they worked out better for her.

I had two pairs of an older style of the Mephisto sandal. (flat sandal with suede or leather band across top) Unfortunately, they're not making them anymore. The sandal I purchased doesn't provide the same comfort as the previous ones I owned. They feel heavier on the foot and it requires greater effort to walk in them.
Wears this shoe: I was hoping to wear them travelling.
