The shoes initially seemed shockingly light and flimsy; the insoles seemed attached with a dab of glue that quickly came loose. I was tempted to return them, but decided to stick it out, and they've held up.

I have worn saddle shoes for many years, some have been from top line manufacturers and were very expensive to purchase and maintain. This shoe was purchased as an " I will give it a try" option. I have been very pleased with their comfort, durability and good looks and fully expect to purchase another pair in the near future.

I purchased these shoes as a Prop for a theater show ("Arsenic & Old Lace"). The character/actor in the show that wears the shoe & he wears a size 14' narrow. The only shoe you sold was a M wide shoe but the shoe was exactly what I needed. The actor told me the fit of the shoe is very comfortable & that it was wider than what he normally wears. So I would say they are fairly true to size.

The back of the shoe irritated my achilles tendon. (Never had this happen before.) I didn't appreciate that it was rubbing me wrong until I had worn them outside, scuffing up the soles, so I didnt feel entitled to send them back, but I will have to bring them to the Salvation Army for "recycling."

This is a fantastic shoe. Smart looking, comfortable and lightweight. I wore saddle shoes in the 60's, it was time to get another pair, very happy with purchase. I've been complimented 3 times on the shoe the first day I wore them.
