Penny loafers are a style of loafers which features an additional strap on the upper portion of the shoe above the toes. This design is referred to as penny loafers because traditionally a penny was placed in a slit on the strap to bring the wearer good luck.

These shoes are lite like a feather and the leather is soft like butter minimizing creases. I really enjoy wearing these to work. I probably will get another pair for storage just in case they get discontinued.

These shoes are rich looking and fit true to size. The non-skid bottoms are a plus. This is a comfortable, nice looking shoe.

My second pair of these no-breaking-in-ready-to-wear loafers. I thoroughly wore out the first pair because they were so comfortable!

I bought these shoes a year ago and they are phenomenal. It takes a few weeks to fully break them in but once they form to your foot you will never want to wear any other shoe. The genuine leather sole and hard (non-rubber) heel make this a classy (and classic) shoe. I wore mine hard 3-4 times a week for a year and am replacing the sole for the first time. I will be buying another pair in a different color shortly.
