I am a Certified Executive Chef with 2 restaurants and have been wearing Troentorp Bastad's since 1988. I purchased the Monet in Cherry color and wear them everyday, all day. I will be buying many more pairs of shoes for myself, employees, friends and family!

I am a male nursing student, who keeps hearing that clogs are the way to go, even from family members, who are professionals. I am still breaking these in per previous reviewers. I feel like I have to re-learn to walk in them. They seem like they will be comfortable. The main reason for the 4 star rating is quality control. I think they should have been seconds, due to the forefoot of the right shoe not being properly rounded off. It has one round edge and one "squarish" edge, which is really due to improperly trimmed piece of leather. Perhaps this is the joy of a truly handmade shoe. It will obviously not affect the wear-ability of the shoe.
Wears this shoe: During clinical rotations and work as a nurse assistant.

I love these sandals, but they did not fit after initial order. I wear a men's seven in other shoes, but had to return and order a size 8 for a true fit.

I have been wearing clogs for many years, and this is my first "Troentorp Bastad" pair of clogs. I am quite pleased with these guys, very comfortable and well made. I decided to try these because of the different type of construction--nails instead of staples. Most of my former clogs fell apart due to failing staples. I also liked the idea of the double layer of leather for the toe area, which is also an area that usually wears out fast with other clogs.I did have to return the first pair however, because they seem to come at least half a size smaller than what I usually wear. If you are in between two sizes, I recommend getting the larger one in order to avoid the back and forth with Shoebuy.com (although the exchange is free and fairly fast).Also, these clogs have heels that are a bit higher than what I am used to. It takes a week or two to get used to it, but you will stand taller :)Overall, definitely worth the money and recommendable.

My list of requirements include ease of installation onto the feet and off. I am a barefooter most of the time but I have found clogs that are comfortable without socks from the start. They are rugged looking and go with the kilts I sometimes wear. I purchased the black Rembrandt in size 45 and next year I will order the brown pair. It's so nice to buy quality items made in Sweden and this certainly was a factor in the decision.
