I am satisfied with, and like the MBT Fanaka GTX style and fit. However there is a most annoying squeak in both shoes when walking or moving my feet when seating. This squeak is most pronounced on the left shoe. This squeak will be quite an annoyance when I go to Spain on March 22 unless it disappears before then, which I doubt. The shoes are great otherwise but I would have purchased the Mephisto shoes had I known this defect.
Wears this shoe: When walking in town sightseeing.

Bought these because I'm on my feet a lot and had heard they were very comfortable. I'm still getting used to the new way of walking but think it will really help me with hip and back issues. People who own them swear by them. In fact I haven't heard any complaints by anyone I know who wears them. I like the fact that they came with Gore Tex, I can wear them to the office or out in the field.
Wears this shoe: Work and leisure.

I love the special padding at the soles as I am on my feet for most of the day, not to mention the up and down the stairs at the Hospital. The only thing that would make them perfect is if they had wider sizes. On MBTs I buy one size bigger because I have an extra wide foot and it feels ok but still when I do not walk on them they fit kind of "snuggly".
Wears this shoe: YES!!!
