This bag is beautiful, I receive compliments on it daily. The style is nice and it is very lightweight. It's a bit smaller than I expected, but for the intended use it's ok. It's nice enough that I ordered a wallet and two more bags. My only complaint (and the reason it gets a 4 instead of a 5) is that the pockets are open and I would prefer some kind of snap or Velcro or something so everything didn't fall out of them. Other than that, a well made, American made, beautifully designed bag.

I received a Maruca purse a year ago and love it. It is a great alternative to my big Coach purse, especially for vacation. My Mom loved mine so much that I bought her one for her birthday this month from Shoebuy. I know she'll love hers as much as I love mine!

This is an outstanding purse. The material is extremely high quality and the workmanship is superior. What I really liked about the purse is that it has deep enough room to hold everything. Most purses of this size or style only hold basics. I need to hold just a little more and the purse goes down deep. The zipper openings are smooth and easy to open, unlike most handbags where you tuggle with it. In the picture, the strap looks like it is a cotton material, but it is soft, buttery suede - something I would not have wanted, but after seeing and feeling it, plus using it, I wouldn't want to be without it. I think the purse could sell for a lot higher, and it is a bargain this cheap. It took me a year before I bought this on my wish list because I didn't want to spend that amount on another small nonfunctional purse that only looks good. I was glad to have given it a shot. I don't think I will buy another brand, as long as they keep making City Girl, as I only like the style of the City Girl from Maruka Designs. Highest recommendation!

I have this exact bag in different material and I like it for hands free shopping. It holds a wallet, keys, lipstick and phone - that's about it. It was great when traveling since I could pack it and use it when it matched my outfit. Which, being that the main colors are shades of blue and black, was quite a lot. They are always prettier in person than the website picture depicts.
