Great
By Brix, from Erie, Pa | August 27, 2013
2nd pair I've bought. Walk on concrete all day, comfortable, no break in time. For the money can't beat them. Even wear them in winter just spray them good.

Finally wore em out
By TRRT, from Northern hemisphere | January 26, 2013
I bought these boots a little over two years ago. Luckily I did some research and ordered a half size larger than I normally wear. They were very comfortable right out of the box. These were my first choice for a non-Gortex boot which would not be too warm in hot climates. If you are looking for a boot to keep your feet dry, buy the Gortex model. I only have two minor negative comments about the boot. The laces were terrible. They didn't slide easily through the eyelets and wore out easily. The laces suck, but it's an easy fix. My second complaint is that I think they are about the ugliest boot out there. Having said that, I bought a second pair. The soles finally wore out on the first pair and split across the ball of my foot. These boots were primarily worn in rugged rocky terrain with a lot of thorny vegetation. The sole was sticky enough to prevent slipping on rock faces. I never had a thorn pierce the sole and puncture my foot. Ankle support was adequate during extended humps, CQB, helo ops and standing around on the flat range. I feel as though I got my money's worth, as I really abused them. The only care I gave the boots was from the business end of a water hose. When I first examined them, I expected the sole to separate from the boot but it never did. I've read reviews from others who complain about separation, but mine held up well. Several of my buddies have them and no one has experienced a separation. Everyone loves these boots.

Love these boots for everyday wear and minor hikes. First pair lasted well over a year and still look great. I wore down the sole from constant use.

Very Nice
By Brix, from Erie, Pa | August 06, 2012
These are very comfortable for a boot. Been wearing them everyday on concrete for about 3 weeks now. Have a broken up ankle with pins in it so good shoes are a must and these accualy help, my ankle doesn't hurt as much as it used to.

Hunter

Boot required only one mountain hike to break in. I am impressed with the traction, sturdiness as well as the lightness. This is the first pair of Lowa's I have owned but it will not be the last. Remarkable boot.

Nice boot
By Brix, from Erie, PA | July 18, 2012
These are nice, just got them so haven't wore them much. I wear a 10 1/2 got these in 11 based on reviews, they fit like a 10 1/2 probably could have got a 11 1/2. The feel is like a boot don't expect them to feel like a running shoe. Might get inserts, I'm on concrete all day. Overall they are nice and feel really supportive.

Desert Hiker
By Beej, from Utah | June 13, 2012
This non gore-tex boot is light, supportive and relatively cool. I bought them for day hiking and light backpacking in the inter-mountain west region. Build quality is excellent utilizing natural and synthetic uppers that wrap comfortably around my injury prone ankles. These boots can be comfortably worn straight out of the box but I would recommend some silicon leather treatment to help preserve the boots desert colors. An excellent non-gore hiker. I highly recommend.
