I had a very bad accident with multiple broken bones in my foot. Had 3 very involved surgeries. I am left unable to work. And I thought unable to walk. I ordered 18 different hiking boots thru mail order. These are the only boots/shoes that have allowed me to walk. I bought 3 pairs to rotate them & have worn them exclusively for 18 months . This pretty much says it all about support and comfort.

I have had a pair of Lowa Renegades for ten years and I decided to get a new pair of hiking boots. Comfort right out of the box...No break in period. I am very happy as are my feet.

I needed a durable, comfortable, waterproof boot for wintertime hiking. I've heard good things about Lowa so I decided to give them a try.I usually wear a 10.5 so I ordered these a half size bigger so I could wear wool socks. Turns out 11 was a pretty good fit with regular socks so in my opinion they fit a half size small. I got the regular width and they're a little snug in the forefoot but that's common for me. After about 5 hours in them they're starting to stretch out & feel more comfortable.Yesterday I was out shoveling snow in them and while my feet did get cold it wasn't uncomfortable and they stayed dry. I was out about 1.5 hrs. Today I did a 2 hr hike in 8" of snow and my feet stayed warm & dry. Traction was very good. No blisters or hot spots. As they continue to break in they get more & more comfortable.Very happy so far.

I use these on a construction site every day. Only boots that have ever lasted more than 1year before the soles wear out or they stop keeping your feet warm. The best.
