Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width I've had these for years and have hiked all over, steep, rocky, wet. In fact, I'm starting to think about my replacement pair, they've been stitched up once and the soles are getting thin. Thankfully, it appears they haven't changed anything. As to waterproofness, they have gotten wet a couple of times in extended wet conditions, but usually, they are fine. Walking through little creeks is not a problem. It is such a hassle having narrow feet, it is great to find a boot that is so comfortable on the trail all day long.

Outstanding Backpacking Shoe December 26, 2012

Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Bought this boot for backpacking in Peru. Wore for only four days before the trip and really needed no breaking-in time. So comfortable and great ankle support. Not too heavy and good traction.

Lowa for comfort, stability and value December 12, 2012
Reviewer: Lowa Fan from Cape Cod, MA
Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt narrower than marked First day I wore them on a one hour easy hike in total comfort with lots of ankle protection because of the shoe structure. No break in necessary like other reviewers said on REI site where I researched these boots. I ordered them through shoebuy because REI store did not carry narrow. Same price and I could compare the narrow to the regular width in 71/2. Narrow was better. Sometimes I need size AAA as in SAS shoes 71/2. LLBean hikers were hard and uncomfortable with shoe laces that hurt my hand because of the rough fabric. My Lowa "dreams" we're easy to lace with softer ties. These even impressed my podiatrist who is also a hiker. I had been seeing him because I had fractured my ankle on a previous hike not wearing supportive hikers. I did not believe that I could find comfortable AND supportive hikers. You can not go wrong with these Lowa's. So lightweight and comfortable I'll actually wear them on regular walks (because we have a lot of dirt roads around here) but I'm excited to use them on real steep hikes. Going down the steep inclines I might actually slip on my new ankle brace which amazingly still fits inside of this boot.

Great Boot December 02, 2012
Reviewer: CB from Vancouver, Canada
Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width I have narrow feet and hiking boots always slip off my feet and give me blisters. This is the first pair I have found to fit properly and give great support.
