I liked this shoe because it was offered in darker colors and I thought I could get away with wearing it at work in the winter which has worked out great. I ordered this shoe 1/2 size larger because the reviews recomended that and they were right. The shoe looked a little narrow out of the box but it fits great. I wish there were more choices for those of us that need to spend time out in the elements but need to look somewhat professional this shoe has worked out great for that and shoebuy was very helpful and very quick at getting them to me.

10 years ago, my very first hiking shoes were Lowa's Renegade GTX Mid. Ever since I have always had these shoes, this must be my 5th pair at least. In Europe we don't have the width sizes and via Shoebuy I have been able to get narrow for the first time. They fit so comfortably! Never had any blisters, never had any problems with breaking in. The only bad thing about the shoes is that the sole doesn't last that long.

Lowa was noted to be the best of the best for a good all around hiking shoe. So far, it is comfortable and feels supportive on uneven terrain. I wish the padding were a little thicker especially on the tongue.

I normally wear a 10 1/2 but got an 11, and it fits perfectly. Just like other reviewers, I wore them right out of the box with no problems. They are very comfortable. I did a lot of hiking in the Mojave desert, and they felt very steady on hard rock and loose sand. It's still early, but these could be the best boots I've had. Time will tell.

For me this is the most comfortable hiking boot I have found. This boot is comfortable for use right out of the box, with essentially no break in time. I use it for all day hikes, carrying a light pack, and I also use it for "on trail" backpacking with a load of approximately 30 pounds. This is a light weight hiking boot, the sole is relatively soft, so the boot doesn't last for ever as a more rigid and stiffer boot would. For off trail use, or when the trail is excessively rocky, I prefer a slightly stiffer boot for more protection from abrasions and twisting of ankles.
