I have several Lowa boots and hoped this would make a good casual shoe. It does, but requires break-in. The fit is not typical for Lowa nor true-to-size. (I ordered the same size I use for the boots). Heel-cup, ankle and mid-foot are true-to-size but it's a bit short and the toe-box is relatively narrow (successfully stretched). A larger size is sloppy at the heel. Too soon to comment on durability.
Wears this shoe: Casual and short walks.

A very nice looking shoe but not quite as narrow as other reviews would have you believe. They are nice shoes; too bad they don't fit a low volume foot - the eyelets almost touch when the shoe is tied and they aren't even broken in. I'm going to try an insert to see if that will take care of extra volume issue.

These fit a full size smaller than listed. I wear a 13, and the Pinto I bought is size 14 and fits perfectly. This has to be the finest hiking shoe I've ever worn. It's a little heavier than the Jannu low but much more supportive. The lining is all comfort leather and feels very supportive on the foot. It took about 8 hours of hiking to break the shoe in, but now it fits like a glove and wears perfectly. I use this shoe for hiking very rough terrain with a 25 lb pack, and it takes the abuse well. I'm in Southern CA which is very rocky, and most of those rocks are very sharp and loose. The Pinto has been the best shoe I've worn because it's so supportive. The soles feel very wide, and the outside edges are harder and very supportive which keeps from twisting ankles. I purchased the Trekker boots because I liked the Pintos so much, and they're the same high quality and leather lined quality. I hear they're discontinuing the Pinto so I'm going to purchase a couple more pairs and keep them in the closet for later use.

I have a low volume foot (normal size measurements but thin top to bottom) and have always had trouble finding shoes that fit. I thought I'd give these a try since Lowa is regarded as one brand that fits low vol. feet well. I am completely satisfied with these shoes. Immediately comfortable and nicely styled. Anticipating that these will not be available forever, I purchased a couple of extra pairs so I can enjoy these shoes for many years to come.
