Low heel are shoes which raise the heel of the wearer between 2/4" to 1 1/4" higher than the toes and provide moderate elevation. Low heel shoes come in a variety of styles, including sandals, loafers, mary janes, oxfords and boots. Low heel shoes are generally considered comfortable footwear, mostly due to their flexible, lightweight soles and low heels, which provide stability.
About Lug SOLE:
A lug sole is a thick shoe sole with deep indentations, or lugs, designed to improve traction and stability. Lug soles are most frequently found in utility and outdoor footwear, such as work boots and hiking boots. Lug soles are generally made of synthetic rubber and can have many different patterns of indentation depending on the type of surface and conditions for which they are intended.

This is a great boot, very sleek looking and warm in the winter. The width and the calf is pretty narrow and i have small calves. It is fine with skinny jeans and thin socks but not much leeway.

I have been wearing the same size 11 (I'm an 8.5) lace up boots for years despite the fact that they started falling apart a year ago. These timberlands are the BEST replacement. They look amazing on and seem like they'll last for awhile (but I've only had them for a few weeks so we'll see). Go for the light brown, it's beautiful

I had been looking for a more dressy style, but once I received the boot and put it on, I decided that it was a keeper. Beautiful soft leather and comfortable from the get go. I've gotten many compliments since I started wearing them.
