This boot is great, but I would buy a 1/2 size larger. I usually wear a 7.5 or 8. I bought an 8 and it is a little tight. These boots will definately keep your feet warm and they have great treads on the bottom.

Bought these for a February trip to Finland. Walked all over in the country and the city streets of Helsinki and Tallinn, Estonia. Very cold and snowy and at no time did my feet ever feel chilled. The one "warm" day during our three week stay I walked through an icy puddle and my feet were toasty and dry. During a trek for nature photos I discovered I can tuck my jeans into them. I recommend these to anyone looking for a pair of boots that will keep your feet warm and dry.

I'm really glad I bought these. The wide calf is mostly leather but there are stretchy inserts in the back of the shaft which give these a nice snug fit. The ankles are nicely tapered so that there's no bunched up leather there. The heels are not too high or too narrow so you have a stable platform to stand on. They are very comfortable and I wear them all day...plus they are waterproof.
