Fall, also known as autumn, is the transitional season between summer and winter. Fall is generally a mild season characterized by mild to cold temperatures and windy weather with moderate rain. Fall occurs during September, October and November in the northern hemisphere; and during March, April and May in the Southern hemisphere.
