Now Made in China and have holes in soles in two weeks of use

I have large calves so I bought these boots because of the larger calf opening than is found in over-the-sock boots. The fit was excellent. However after a two weeks of use, the heels on both boots were worn down to the point where the holes began leaking water. This is obviously NOT a durable boot as I expect for genuine LaCrosse boots. I was with a group of students walking the same trails in LaCrosse boots (over the sock) that were made in USA many years ago. Theirs did not develop holes while mine did not last more than two weeks! After noticing that my new LaCrosse boots are made in China, that probably says much about them. I'll probably never buy any new LaCrosse boots again. They are just not up to the old standards! I certainly cannot recommend them to my students this year. Sad.
Wears this shoe: Hiking muddy trails and crossing small streams.
