Fit like a glove and I like the fact it's a bit higher than the usual. Excellent protection from wet environment and hopefully it will hold up. Looks like it should.

I bought these after a long search for an off weather shoe for rough terrain. This has been the perfect shoe for that purpose. More of a half boot than a shoe, the LaCrosse Hawthorne is perfect for my needs which are walking the dog through the woods and fields, working around a pond and wetlands area. Most importantly is that it is easy to put and take off when wet or muddy. I am tempted to buy another pair to hold in reserve.

I wanted a waterproof shoe that would slip on and off quickly to step outside in sloppy weather. They are perfect for that plus they feel great on the feet. No uncomfortable pressure points like some slip-ons. They fit like a glove. I thought I might get damp socks from perspiration, but that hasn't been a problem, at least with my feet. They're great.

The boot is very comfortable. It is perfect for rainy days or when working in the garden. The sole has held up very well with no damage while using a shovel. Other boots I have owned have not held up as well.

I live in Minnesota and walk my dog each morning, year-round. In the spring and fall, I need a good waterproof boot to protect me from the puddles, mud, etc. as well as being comfortable for walking in a variety of terrain. I had been using a similar boot made by the Muck company, but when my current pair of Mucks cracked at a point of frequent bending near the toes (I might mention that this is the second pair to crack)the boots were no longer waterproof. I thus sought out this boot made by LaCrosse and have been very satisfied with it. It is comfortable, even on long walks, protects me from slushy snow, puddles and mud, and has not had any defects (like cracking) occur. I would highly recommend this boot to others who spend a lot of time outdoors, in wet weather, and need a comfortable walking boot that is also waterproof.
