half sizes needed July 29, 2012

I had a pair in the 70's and I wore them everyday for years. Was excited to see them available again. However; the sizing is weird because of no half sizes. I wear a 7, while it was right in length, but much too big in the straps everywhere. So I ended up with a 6, and my big toe is a little too close to the edge of the sandal. I think it may look like it is too small, but it feels good and after a bit of stretching, I'm hoping they will be better. I don't want to wear them out of the house, in case I may return them. I really believe half sizes is the answer to offering a more custom fit. The leather squeaks quite a bit, Will that get better as the leather softens? Time will tell.
Wears this shoe: Am planning on wearing with jeans and shorts or long skirts

Very comfortable. I don't usually wear a heel this high but these are very easy to walk in. I receive many complements on them.

This shoe does take a bit of breaking in over the toes, the leather is a bit stiff at first. But totally worth it, they are really cute and the vacchetta leather is going to look great with age.

I love these shoes! They are a great neutral color and look fabulous with jeans, skirts and shorts. The height is perfect, the platform is comfortable enough to wear the shoes all day long. I have a pair in red that I bought 4 years ago and they are the most comfortable shoes I own.
