These shoes attracted me because of the width (marked MW.)At first, I thought the shoes were too narrow, and I thought I'd have to send them back, but am very glad I didn't!First, they have an adjustable insole system to sort of customize them to the foot. What it is is two layers you can either take out, or layer accordingly to fit.Secondly, (and for me, the most important) is the type of leather used for the uppers. I've had my 7 year old in them for a few months now and not only did the leather mold to his feet quickly, it's more durable than any other leather shoe he's worn. The leather is dyed completely through (as it should be) but it's hard to find this quality in other brands. I've had more expensive shoes where the leather upper would chip or scuff off- not these.The instep is supportive but not hindering, and the soles are perfect; not too thick so the feet can't bend, and not too thin to wear out the shoe. I do not think he'll wear them out- he'll grow out of them before they'll wear out.By the way, these shoes look fantastic, too. He can (and does) wear them with everything from trousers to jeans and look impeccably dressed.I am so glad I didn't return them! These will be reordered and reordered as he grows. You just can't find a better shoe.

really cute, more reasonably priced than stride rite. Kids outgrow shoes so quickly, it seems like a waste of money to pay so much for shoes that might be outgrown in about three months. These are just as sturdy and well constructed as the more expensive shoes. I wish they were available in black or navy. I wish they were not made in China!

I bought these for my 13 year old, hard to fit daughter. Most shoes her size are too little girlish. These are very pretty and not too young looking. As an added bonus they are of a nice quality. Definitely recommend.
