  • A little stiff but great. April 03, 2013

This shoe fits like a glove. entry and exit is very easy, especially for an oldie like me who can't bend down very easily anymore. But the ankle collar is very stiff, this hurts when I stand on an incline or steep bank...I am hoping this will soften a little as I wear-in the boots. The look is very nice, great support, I like the toe rubber as it saved my toes from getting crushed by a dropped rock. (I use my boots for low-stress hiking and mostly heavy duty gardening. The color is excellent and the value was definitely there. I would give this shoe a 5 if it weren't for the overly stiff ankle collar.

  • Comfiest Boot Ever July 06, 2011

There was no breaking in time at all. I wore them the whole day the first time with no rubbing or blisters. They do feel a little stiff, but the footbed is the comfiest I've ever worn. The soles were a little slippery on wet tile floor, but overall they are the best boots I've ever had.

I like the fact this can be worn in the summer as I live in the south, although, the main reason for purchasing it was for a trip to the NE coast. Very comfortable, especially since I have bunions. Would not hesitate to purchase again.

  • Super! April 28, 2011

It's hard to find decent-fitting footwear because my feet are small (size 4 women's/youth). The Keen Voyageur Mid is perfect! The fit is comfortably snug with room for feet to expand. No rubbing, pinching around the ankle. Just support. The sole is ridiculously grippy. The bump toe is great for those rocky, gravelly areas where you want more toe protection. Plus, the bump toe doesn't have a place to separate the upper part of the shoe from the soles.Got them early to allow for time to break in. Will be attempting to hike Half Dome this summer, so well-worn shoes are a must.
