The Targhee Mid II from KEEN is four-wheel-drive performance for your feet. The shoe is revamped with the KEEN DRY waterproof breathable membrane to keep your feet dry and comfortable.
The aggressive outsole has 4mm lugs to bite into terrain, providing excellent traction. The ESS shank provides torsional stability for a secure ride, while the mid cut height increases ankle support from canyons to mountaintops.
Fit:This style tends to run small. For an accurate fit we recommend purchasing a 1/2 size larger than you typically purchase. For example, if you normally purchase a size 7, we recommend purchasing a size 7 1/2.

This is a VERY comfortable boot - I hike anywhere from 3 to 15 miles per hike, some rough terrain. Here in Southern California, our summers get a little warm and these boots are kind of hot. I prefer my Merrel chameleon's for the hot days. Other than that, these Keens are great. I had to buy a men's size due to my amazonian feet, but as long as I lace them up snugly they are not too wide.

I only wear Keens because they are instantly comfortable with no break-in required. When I find a shoe that fits my lifestyle, I only wear that brand. I have been wearing Keens for seven years now and especially like the fit and durability of the Targhee's--low and mid. I currently have 14 pairs in my closet. I certainly hope Keen does not discontinue the Targhee style--I would be lost.

This shoe is so lightweight and form fitting, you never want to take it off. I actually think about how good my foot feels in them instead of looking at the nature around me. It is just amazing to have such a great fitting shoe. I also love how easy they are to get on and off. Waterproofed them twice and so far so good.
