This shoe fit like a glove, was very comfortable. The down side is I managed to wear out the soles in 3 months of working around Europe. Material used in soles not tough enough. Wears this shoe: Switzerland, France, Ireland and Scotland

My wife and I have been bush walking for over 40 years and still very active in this venture which includes all types of terrain--climbing mountains boulder fields trackless scrub and temperate rainforest-- and consequently tried many brands of boots over the years, since having tried Targhee II we have found a winner my wife in particular who suffered for many years with uncomfortable boots due to lack of width in them. Last year she joined a group on a guided tour to Nepal and climbed up to the British Base Camp at Annapurna some 4000 Metres elevation and had comfort all the way. We are also members of a large walking club here in Tasmania [over 200 members] and Targhee II Boots are very popular with members so now we can with confidence recommend them to others. We have now purchased 3 pairs over the years and tried and tested them in all types of walking. Wears this shoe: As written above including shopping at times

Being the owner wider than average feet The Targhee II Mid boot fit perfectly & are very comfortable. "Narrow" boots, (even the high quality brands), compress & inflame the peroneal nerves in my feet, making hiking impossible. This is not a problem with the wider Keen products. The only downside to the Targhee II is the grip is below average on wet or slippery rocks, where care must be taken. If this problem was fixed my score would have been 5 out of 5. Other than that this is a great boot. Wears this shoe: Hiking & everyday casual.

THE most comfortable boot on the market, I've been hiking for 25 years and these are the hands down winners, they are like Cadillacs for your feet. EXCEPT on wet rocks, after a rain storm, or just from dew, the treads are like water on ice, I have never experienced anything as treacherous! This is a serious design flaw that effects safety and should be remedied ASAP.

Great shoes! My Fiance and I are taking a walking tour in Ireland later this summer and needed some waterproof hiking boots. Mine just arrived and they feel great, no breaking in needed. They're comfortable with no issues to speak of! I normally wear size 8 1/2 men's (US) and found that the best fit for this boot was size 8. I recommend going somewhere to try some on before you order them from here! I looked everywhere and couldn't find a better price. Wears this shoe: Hiking, out and about.

This is a very comfortable shoe. Second time I have bought this product. Only problem is the eyelets. On the first pair they broke. My recommendation to the manufacturer is that they change them to metal. Otherwise they were very comfortable, waterproof and very stable on a very long hike across Spain,Camino de Santiago. Wears this shoe: On long hiking trips.

Keen is known for outdoor hiking and water sandals. Not boots. They are still learning how to make boots. The fit was off by a 1/2 size, the toe is unusually large, but comfortable, and the foot bed took a week to settle in, gave me a small callus. They are also very HOT, they are the waterproof version, but don't breath well. My feet perspire in them even in the winter. Another fault is that the big lug sole is EXTREMELY slippery when wet. On rocks, on cements, on floors, very slippery and unsafe in my opinion. I'm disappointed with these they should be able to to much better and test their products more at this price pint (HIGH). Also, there are many reports of the rubber sole coming loose on this model. I have not had that problem yet, but will watch for it. Wears this shoe: Outdoors
