I love my boots! I ordered a half size larger than I normally wear, which fit perfectly. They are great all-weather boots. They are fashionable and practical. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a comfortable, well made, quality outdoor high boot.

I like the Keen boot because of the comfortable moldedfootbed, giving it an arch support which is difficult to put in boots. The calf fits just right with possibly enough room to wear a designer sock yet tight enough to go without.

One feature that works for me with this boot is the ample calf muscle circumference. I personally wear a 7 1/2 in most shoes/boots but because I always add an insert and need to make sure the calf circumference is wide enough I order 1/2 size up. These boots fit and are comfortable from day one. These boots also feel very balanced or stable.

I bought this boot for comfort. It's not the sexiest looking boot, but Keen makes a very comfortable shoe.

Be careful if you have athletic calves October 12, 2011

I own Keen hiking sandals and LOVE them because they fit my wide feet and are durable. I chose the Shelby because I wanted a tall boot I would wear on the street but would keep me dry and warm. Like many women with wide calves (my mom calls them "athletic") I look for knee high boots that have some sort of elastic panel - the Shelby has them! Unfortunately for me, the elastic panel is about an inch too short. I can zip up the boot but about an inch before the elastic panel begins it's...a bit tight. For me, they don't fit comfortably into skinny jeans but are fine under pants or over tights. I've worn them 2 days now and am holding out hope they will stretch. With free shipping and returns I think it's worth the risk!
