Product Description (Women's Keen Newport H2)

The Newport H2 is the foundation of the Keen Footwear line. Designed to perform in adverse conditions, the Newport H2's razor sipped outsole and 3mm lugs provide excellent traction regardless if your path leads to the water or the trail. Features include a metatomical low durometer EVA molded footbed, compression molded EVA midsole, patented toe protection, multi-direction lug pattern with razor siping, a washable polyester webbing upper with Aegis microbe shield, a quickdraw elastic cord lace and a secure metatomical strap design.

Fit: This style tends to run small. For an accurate fit we recommend purchasing a 1/2 size larger than you typically purchase. For example, if you normally purchase a size 7, we recommend purchasing a size 7 1/2.

I really liked how these shoes fit, at first, so I brought them with me to Japan for hiking. The first long hike, however, they tore up my feet - notably my little toes, which rubbed on the coarse strap material that gapes right on the side of my little toes. No amount of padding seemed to ameliorate the problem, and I couldn't wear them at all, after that. I plan on trying it again, in short increments, with socks, which really defeats the purpose of a water-proof hiking style. I hope they fit you differently.

I love these shoes and live in them during the warmer months. This is my 2nd pair of them and they are great. I wore them on vacation without any problems. Loved them so much my kids and husband wear them now too.
