Well, I purchased these shoes in black. When my jeans cover the top of the boot they look like orthopedic shoes. I really regret spending so much on these boots.

I walk 4 brisk miles every day in the Solar Too, so when the cold weather came, I wanted a warmer boot with the same arch support and feel as the Solar Too. I really need the square and roomy toe box. The Central Too fits the bill perfectly. It is warm and feels exactly the same as the Solar Too when I'm walking. The only negative is that it doesn't have quite enough traction for ice and packed snow, but it does fine in loose snow. I don't believe that the Solar Too and the Central Too would normally be considered first choice for walking 4 fast miles every day, but I have found that they work beautifully for this. I usually wear a 9 1/2 in most standard shoes, but a 9 is plenty big in these two models. I have the black version and I think it looks very attractive.
Wears this shoe: Throughout the day, particularly to walk in.

These boots are very warm and very comfortable, with excellent arch support. The footbed is a little hard; my feet got a pressure ache after walking around in them all day, but I believe this will go away in time. Like my other pair of Earth shoes, they seem a little oversized. The 'vintage leather' look is a bit contrived. The boots look like they've been dipped in darker shoe polish on the tips, and they're neither symmetrical nor convincingly distressed in a randomized way. But the Kalso design is AMAZING. I'm a bodyworker with problem feet. When I wear Earth shoes all day, my lower back feels like a million bucks.
Wears this shoe: Il be wearing these in snowy weather. Until then theyre overkill.
