I bought my first pair of these shoes at the Ironman store in Kona and almost passed on them because of their green/silver color. Well, I'm glad I didn't. Since then, I have bought two more pairs that are my general walking around shoes (the original pair now delegated to hiking on lava rock and gardening chores). The shoes are strong and, with the mesh upper, are strong, yet light. In my opinion, these shoes are much better than the newer Ironman red-white-blue model of Ironman shoes. My late wife was a 6-time Ironman World Championship finisher and she wore the women's version of this shoe (fuscia/silver) in her final athletic event, the 2010 Honolulu Marathon. Take it from one who knows. This shoe is an excellent value. I recommend that you buy it (unless you are size 10 ... save all of those pairs for me).
