Purchased these for my 3 year old with a wide, fat foot. They are great. I love the fact that the velcro is hidden and I don't have to pin her down to put them on.

This shoe seems very durable for active kids playing at school or at the playground. My son thinks they make him run faster :) My only concern is the hidden velcro with the elastic straps make it a little difficult to tighten up the shoes. So my son has "ran" out of his shoes a couple of times.
