Upper is Leather. Profile is The most supportive free-running shoe for moving over, under and through the streets. Traction is achieved with a combination high-grip rubber in the forefoot and durable Aosta rubber outsole in the heel. Stability is maximized by an external heel counter and variable width lacing. Cushioning is achieved with a dual Density CMEVA midsole compound. Durability is enhanced with an extra-padded, seamless forefoot and rubber toe bumper.

I bought this shoe because it has long been known as the "Best shoe for parkour". Having seen it on tv, videos, all types of media I felt I had to try it out. I'd say the cost is well worth it. The design, especially of the sole, is genius and provides great grip and feel! I can't wait until I try their improved Ariake III.

I bought the Ariakes for my teenage son. He is doing parkour, and I wanted him to have shoes that would assist him. He loves the shoes. The treads are great. The shoes are light weight, yet very supportive. The best part of my experience, was the service I received from the store I ordered from. I had made a mistake in both size and color, and they were able to correct the order before shipping!
