I have an older pair of burks and thought these would be identical. However, my previous pair were made in Italy, and had a leather/rubber sole and heel. These are now made in India and have a completely rubber sole and heel. They really seem more casual with the soft rubber sole, and the quality looks lower than before. Although, the leather upper does still look dressy. I planned to return these, but when I went to box them back up they had been scuffed somehow, so I will probably keep them. They are comfortable.
