I was very disappointed to discover that the Italian loafers I bought were in fact made in India. When I had heal plates put on them the cobbler couldn't even be sure the soles were leather. Might be water-buffalo. This review sounds so silly that you may think I made it up. I did not. I have bought many pair of Johnston-Murphy shoes over the years so I did not examine the purchase closely enough. I have always expected high quality.
