The shoe is definitely taller than stated...I agree with another review that it is more like a 5.5 inch heel/platform height. It does take a bit of practice to learn to walk elegantly due to the height. The shoe is gorgeous and does resemble more of a "Cinderella shoe" for those dresses that may require them. The purchase was definitely worthwhile.

Shoe Width: Felt wider than marked
The only thing that I was not happy with was that I wanted a four inch heel with out a platform this shoe ended up being around 5.5" high with the platform. A little to high for what I needed it for.
