John Deere Boots 6" Safety Toe Lace-Ups 6343"
The Ultimate work boot
September 29, 2012
Reviewer: A contractors detail-organized wife from Santa Fe, New Mexico
I bought these for my husband who is a superintendent for a custom home builder, and who tends to wear things out quickly. He is a sturdy, muscular man who, in an industry hard-hit by lean times, finds himself doing any one of the trades of electrician, plumber, plasterer, roofer, painter, mason, roofer (you get the idea) on any given day. He is in his work boots 12-14 hours, six days a week.My husband, not one to complain or fuss over brand names or appearance because form & function are king in his job (and because that's just the way he is, a humble man), actually asked me for these BY NAME. Why? Because after years of wearing other brand boots, either the soles began to separate from the boot after a few months, or the leather wore off the external toe of the boot, exposing the steel toe underneath, which is an OSHA violation and a potentially serious hazard. He has been wearing this boot with its rubberized steel toes for several weeks now, and the toe shows no signs of peeling or malfunction. Plus, the boot is comfortable and just the right height (higher boots are associated with Achilles tendon issues). Apart from being dusty from mud and plaster, they still look fairly new.We unequivocally recommend this boot. It is also considerably less expensive than some of the other Pro boots on the market.

John Deere Boots 10" Waterproof Wellington 4283"
Great boot for my homestead farm in Vermont

I love the John Deere waterproof wellingtons. I use them on my homestead farm in Vermont where we raise sheep, pigs, rabbits and layer hens. Walking on the dew-covered fields in the morning or in the rain is no problem with these wellingtons. My feet stay nice and dry. The 10" leather uppers protect my legs from brambles and thistles. The gortex liner allows my foot to breath and the foot bed has lots of support. I use this boot 3 seasons: spring, summer and fall here in New England. I love this boot!
