Considered the crowned king of French fashion, Jean Paul Gaultier creates men's and women's haute couture fashion and a wide range of other products such as Jean Paul Gaultier eyewear, Jean Paul Gaultier accessories and Jean Paul Gaultier fragrances. Once called the "enfant terrible" (bad boy) of the fashion world, designer Jean-Paul Gaultier is the creative force behind his label. He is best known for his sailor sweater, his electronic jewelry collection, and his cone-shaped corset design made famous by Madonna, and, of course, his successful fragrance line packaged in his signature torso-shaped bottles. Starting his career in 1970 at age 18 as an assistant to Pierre Cardin, Jean Paul Gaultier learned that in fashion, there are no limits and everything is possible, which became his way to create. Today, his provocative designs are inventive, witty, and sometimes bizarre, but always fascinating.
