The Swell features a bungee cord speed lacing for a secure fit. It has a perforated removable sock liner, and a blown EVA out sole with a mesh screen built into the sole for debris blocking. This shoe also has a port hole bottom for water drainage and weigh less than 7oz.
Fit:This style tends to run small. For an accurate fit we recommend purchasing a 1/2 size larger than you typically purchase. For example, if you normally purchase a size 7, we recommend purchasing a size 7 1/2.

This is a nice shoe for the walking surf at the beach. I found that you can be in water up to 1/2" or so and no or little water enters the shoe. The lack of laces is a plus, and the elastic 'tie' holds well. The mesh excludes all but very fine sand and smaller particles. In my case, the only way to get rid of sand stuck in the shoes was to immerse them or hose them off in clean water. They dry out fairly well though. The shoes seem very well constructed. I usually wear A-width shoes, and the narrow B shoe was not too loose for me. It's a good shoe for the price. I suggest a sock liner under your socks, so your feet won't feel as wet when your socks get wet.
Wears this shoe: As it's a water shoe, just when I will be around water (beach, creek, etc.)
