Product Description (Men's Island Surf Co. Splash)

The Splash has an elastic adjustable strap for an easy on/off fit and a perforated removable sock liner. It also features a blown EVA outsole with a built-in mesh screen for debris blocking and a port hole bottom for water drainage making it weigh less than 7 oz when dry.

Fit: This style tends to run small. For an accurate fit we recommend purchasing a 1/2 size larger than you typically purchase. For example, if you normally purchase a size 7, we recommend purchasing a size 7 1/2.

I bought these for my husband in a size 9 and they were more like a lady's 9 than a mans.

It's so much easier and safer for him to get into and out of the canoe or kayak with a pair of shoes that are made to be in the water. And he loves the fact that the water drains instantly right out of the bottom of the soles. He would've liked more selection in color. He didn't like the navy, so he went with the white, and after one outing in the murky waters in our area, they looked dirty. Overall, he's happy with the purchase.

Probably an OK as a surf shoe, but the Velcro/elastic closure is not secure enough for water activity. Also, the sole doesn't provide sufficient traction for water activity. Drains well. Dries OK.

I ordered a 9.5 as I always order from Shoebuy. I bought these shoes for a trip planned for 5 months in advance. I checked the size and it was what I ordered. Unfortunately, I did not try them on when they arrived. They were at least .5 to 1 size to small. Keep that in mind if you order this shoe.

I bought this shoe to wear while doing my walking and exercising in the pool. It is a lot better than barefoot, and they protect my feet. Of course I have to take the shoes off for lap swimming. My only negative is that the soles don't give as much slip resistance and traction as I would prefer. But overall, it's a good shoe for wearing in the water. This is a man's shoe. I am a woman, but I always wear a man's size shoe because I require a wider than normal heal cup (due to achilles problems), which the man's size gives me.
Wears this shoe: For everything in the pool, on deck, and in the shower, except for lap swimming
