I am a wetland biologist, and I often trek miles into swamps on foot. I am very happy with the Irish Setter 817 Trackers. These boots are more comfortable than many other snake boots I have tried (Rocky, Redhead, etc.) These boots are light, and are remarkably flexible. I have used them in 85 degree F weather and have not felt that the 1000g of insulation was excessive. No complaints yet.
