Most Disappointing Hush Puppies Ever January 21, 2013

We could not have been more disappointed in these shoes, especially from a brand such as Hush Puppies. My 6yo son wears these with his school uniform and has been doing so 3x per week for 5 months. Within two weeks (yes, just two week - 6 days of wearing) the leather toe wore off leaving the brown underneath exposed - and not just the tip of the toe but all the way down to the crease where his toes bend and the shoes bend. We have had to polish the top of the shoe weekly to keep it within uniform regulations. This past week, one of the shoes broke away from the sole and we've glued it back together until we can purchase another pair. I expect much higher quality from Hush Puppy. I have purchased seven other pair of school-uniform shoes for my other children over the past four years and have never had a problem like these. The only reason for giving the shoe 2 stars is that they are true to size & width and my son says they are very comfortable to wear. Unfortunately, the shoe doesn't hold up to not-even-daily-wear.

I have loved Hush Puppies shoes since I was a teen. Now, my first born is a pre-teen, and he looks good in Hush Puppies shoes, too! He likes them and thinks that they are comfortable.

These shoes are advertised as leather but they are not. They look nice but don't buy them if you want the leather upper.

The website says they are leather shoes but when they arrived it says "all man made materials" in the shoe. I was specifically looking for leather shoes so am sending them back.
