This inside gore boot is named for one of the four Georgians who claimed the strike was so rich, they were transporting gold dust and nuggets by the wagon load.

This is the second Trask product that I have purchased. Their shoes are superior - see title- and the look is terrific.

I liked the look of this shoe from the moment I saw it online. Upon receiving it I did find it to be very comfortable on the very first bit of walking around in it, however I think the manufacturer has gone a bit overboard on touting this shoe/boot as being 'rugged'. Outwardly it has a bit of a worn look with the way they have treated the upper. It also has a leather lining that is nice though I was a bit surprised to find that it has only a small insert of leather beneath the arch of the shoe and within the heel, which adds nothing to the stability of the shoe and is basically for looks. This shoe contrary to what the manufacturer states does not feel very 'rugged' at all. With no leather at all in the last of the shoe and the sole being made entirely of rubber, when walking around it feels more like a running shoe than a boot, without a lot of support. I guess I was just anticipating something that had a bit of a stiffer last and felt more like the boot it is supposed to be. I do like the looks of them and feel they go well with jeans for the weekends. My only concern is just how long the sole will last with it being made basically like an athletic shoe. In hindsight I feel it is a lot of money to pay for a shoe that is basically a 'throw-away' because it can't be resoled better.
