The Hoopoe Missy is a well made oxford, nicely leather-lined and with a somewhat stiff construction that lends a good stability to the stride. For those of us with flat feet and not much inherent foot structure, rigid orthotics and stable shoes with a bit of cushioning are way more helpful than cushy, flexible footwear. When I add my 3/4 length orthotics, this is exactly what I get with this shoe. The only reasons this shoe does not get a top rating for me has to do with the fit. They could be a tad longer, and the toe box could be a tad deeper. Also, they are so-so, style-wise.
Wears this shoe: I wear it on casual days, to work, to walk the dog, to do errands.
