I also have very very high arches and insteps. No shoes even touch my arches, so although I don't feel any arch support, these shoes are amazingly comfortable. Unlike the other reviewer, the strap didn't bother my instep, but I can see how it might on someone else. I so love the squared toes... I am ordering 2 more pairs of these, so when they're worn out I'll have back-ups. The look is unique, yet timeless. I wear them mostly pants and jeans, bc I don't like the look of maryjanes with dresses (shortens the legline). High quality. Glove soft suede. If you love the shoes and have high insteps, these are worth getting the strap lengthened or adjusted at your local shoe repair shop. They're THAT nice.

Very classy shoes, one minor issue

I love these black suede shoes. They are as beautiful on as they look on the page, and they are amazingly comfortable. I've worn them to work for hours, walked around New York in them, and they've been great. I've had only one issue with the shoes, but I like them so much I didn't want to return them. The metal stem on the buckle keeps slipping behind the bar that it should be resting against. This of course renders the buckle useless. Either the stem is too short, or it wiggles too much from left to right, sliding then behind the bar. I've resolved the issue by squeezing the buckle together closer together, but it only lasts a few hours, and then I have to adjust them again. I worry that eventually the buckle may crack from being bent too many times. I think these problems shouldn't happen at this price point. But I still love the shoes!

Bought this for the adorable kitty and pearl accent. Quality is impressive and despite the heel, the shoe is comfy. The instep strap is adjustable with a Velcro closure, perfect for me with a wide foot. My only complaint is I wish the padding under the ball of the foot was thicker but easily fixed with a gel pad. Overall, my new favorite heels!
