Shoebuy is Best
By H. G. Walker, from Kingsport, TN | November 28, 2011
I work for a Nation Wide Power Company and purchased these boots for some rough terrain and working conditions. The light weight and water proof construction take one thing off my list to worry about when all my focus has to be on the job at hand. I am more than pleased with the boots. Thanks guys.

Great light-weight boot & waterproof to boot
By Mike, from Lisle, Illinois | December 11, 2010
I was looking for a very light weight boot and gave this a try. It really fit the bill! I wear it most of the time now, although I originally bought it to work outside. My feet stay dry with these boots even in wet or snowy conditions (I live in Northern IL.). I highly recommend them for quality & light weight & comfort and wear-resistance. I am buying my second pair today (I bought a pair last year) just in case they take them off the market. My current pair, although scuffed, shows no sign of excess wear.Only gripe is that I can't find laces that will last - those metal rings are hard on laces.

Excellent Work Boot
By Robert W., July 15, 2010
I drive large commercial Class A vehicles in the city and have to move huge amounts of heavy freight daily. I am also constantly getting in and out of the cab throughout the day. These boots have withstood the challenge of my daily work. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a durable, comfortable fitting, and nice looking boot. I have had several of my colleges and customers ask about these boots and I have shared the info with them. I have purchased two pair now so that I can rotate every other day of use. I also have added the Dr Scholls jell work insole pads in each boot. I would also purchase the extra shoe lace package. I have noticed that the laces tend to ware out before the boots do. Polish the boots once a week and lightly brush/buff daily and the boots will look outstanding.

Great Boot
By Joe, from Colorado Springs | February 26, 2010
I have worn out several pairs of Hi-Tec Altitude IV's and decided to try this V-Lite version. It is considerably lighter than my previous Hi-Tecs and seems to be made well. The thread seems to be made better on this model. My previous Altitude IV's had issues with the multi-part thread coming apart after several months of wear. The thread on these seems to have less or no multi-part threads. Time will tell, but I expect these to perform better.

Shoe fit comfortable from day one. Best boots I have had in a LONG time. Seriously considered purchasing a second pair just to have. Wear my boots for work so I am in them all day. Highly recommended.

Great waterproof hiker.
By Anthony, from Southern Cali | November 20, 2009
As with most Hi-Tec boots, this shoe is lightweight, unsupportive. I think it needs a higher arch and stiffer shank, and has a wide heel pocket.

Great shoe -- get more socks.

This shoe is very big in the front half. Your foot almost rattles around in it. My only other real complaint is the rough-surfaced fabric used on the inside of the Achilles' area. I wished they'd used leather there, because this stuff abrades a bit.On the positive side, its sole is remarkably firm and supportive for such a lightweight shoe. I think you really could work or hike in this thing, although I wouldn't want to spend this kind of money on a shoe just to beat the snot out of it. I bought it as a durable, supportive quasi-dress shoe to wear with jeans, and it fits the part. It looks great, with subdued brown leather the color of a Hershey bar and a blessed lack of the loud "hey, look at me" styling that makes so many modern boots unsuitable for anything more formal than Bozo duty.On the whole, this is an expensive pair of shoes by my cheapskate standards, but you do get your money's worth. Thumbs up.
