Good Value September 12, 2012

Our family likes to hike when we can so hiking boots are a must for us. We tried these and thought they were a good value for a kid's hiking boot. She's only worn them once on a 1.5 hour hike. She is very picky about shoes and so I was happy to hear her positive comments. They were comfortable and had good grip for climbing the trailside rocks. Towards the end of the hike she said the back rubber her heel a bit. We hope that with a thicker pair of socks this will not be a problem.

My daughter had these boots when she was 6 and wore them to the Grand Canyon. She LOVED these boots!! Said they were the best feeling shoes she has ever had.I'm ordering them for her again, now that she's turning 8. She needs a good pair of hiking boots, and I'll continue to have her in these and nothing else!

Nice Little Hiker October 19, 2010

Bought this shoe for my five-year-old daughter. We hike a lot and it is a challenge to find real, functional hiking shoes for anyone under age 15. She likes the look of these boots and so far they seem to be working well for her. During her first hike in them, she didn't complain of any foot pain and I didn't notice any hot spots on her feet. AFTER the hike (in the car) she wanted me to loosen them because she said they hurt her ankles. (Mine do the same thing.) But, she's been managing well on our hikes and I think these boots are doing the trick. Good tread, solid sole, nice ankle support. Overall, a great boot for a young hiker.
