Pros - Nice looking, felt good straight out of the box, great grip hiking, feels sturdy but not large and clunky, very good ankle supportCons - Tongue could be a little longer, wide size is WIDE, a little hot, could use better arch supportFirst, take this review with a grain of salt as these are the first decent pair of boots I have ever owned. I am a consistent recreational hiker (almost every day for 60-90 minutes). Hiked 4 miles right out of the box. Incredibly comfortable - akin to a high top sneaker. Wide sneakers usually fit just right but these feel extra wide too me. I walk park trails that have an abundance of roots, rocks, limbs and steep inclines and declines. The ankle support has saved my ankle more than once and I have never slipped - even on moist red clay at a very steep angle. A longer tongue would make them quicker to put on. I have one flat foot and it definitely needs an insert - very little arch support. I am a picky buyer. So far, no regrets here. Have not taken through water yet so can't speak to that or to durability (1 week old). If you hike for fun and exercise like me, I think they are a great bang for the buck.
