Due to long term problems associated with Arthritis in my hands and feet I have to be very picky about my style and fit of any boot or shoe that I am going to wear. The tops of my bent toes will suffer severely if the toe area is just the slight bit cramped or the leather is unforgiving. Trust me on this, these boots were wearable, comfortable and properly fitting,right out of the box. Basically no break-in period or discomfort at all. I live on a lake and the slope from the house to the lake is quite steep and at points rugged. The soles of these boots afford great traction and stability with the mid-high top giving that extra ankle support. Time will tell but I feel that these boots are a winner. This pair of HI-TEC ALTITUDE IVboots is the best boot yet. Lets see how they last, 12 to 18 months for me is good.

Overall great shoe, just a bit too wide. Normally order wide width and it works out fine, this shoe is barely able to tie tightly after initial stretching out.

I wear them outside in the rain and cold. They are truly not all waterproof. Seams leak at first but after a few weeks of wear, they stopped.
