These boots have a waterproof (seam-sealed) nubuck leather upper and a soft padded leather collar with a full gusseted leather tongue. They are made with rustproof brass hardware and a removable sockliner. It is board lasted with a steel shank for added rigidity. It also has a durable carbon rubber outsole.

The shoes were very supportive when I went on a challenging hike. The boots are very rigid, which is both a plus and a minus.

I bought this brand several years ago. They have been great boots. I wear a youth size in these and love the new ones as well. Some brands have started using cheaper materials and even though you order the same brand, you don't always get the same quality. Not true of this brand. The leather is durable and the soles last forever. The quality is still great.

I bought these shoes because I needed some trendy waterproof boots for my son. He always has difficulty wearing these types of shoes because they're usually to heavy to wear and play with. He truly has loved these and they are truly waterproof!

I bought this hiking boot for my 11 year old daughter to use on our vacation out west. She only had a couple of days to wear the boots around the house to break them in, but commented that they felt very comfy. In spite of the short break-in time, the boots were comfortable and provided the needed ankle protection on a 6 mile hike in Yellowstone. This was the fourth pair of Hi-Tec children's hiking boots I have bought and I would definitely recommend them.

We appreciate the quality of this particular boot. Our son wears these boots for showing livestock so we need a durable waterproof boot that can be worn all day long. We need the assurance that our son's feet will feel the same from the time he puts them on to when he takes them off. His feet stay dry and comfy all day! Great boots!
