The hat itself is nice and appears to be good quality. The chinstrap is made to look like leather, but is some type of plastic. The hatband is hot glued onto the hat when it appears sewed. I was after function and not pure quality, so this hat fits the bill perfectly. I'm sure the more expensive models have the true features missing on this model.
