My grandson was so excited that I bought him these shoes for his birthday. He couldn't stop hugging me. It took him a while for hime to get the grip of the skates, but he is riding them like a pro. The shoe is good looking too.

Our 8 year old son was thrilled with his Heelys on his birthday and wants to wear them all the time. Great present and we bought them a full size bigger based on other review, they fit him well with some room for growth.

I was very happy with the heelys. My child is 9 years old and he is a size 6 shoe, they fit perfectly. He is having fun using them, as the skate shoe as well as a normal shoe.

8 year old request July 05, 2012

First, after reading many reviews, we felt it best to order a size larger - he normally wears a 1.5 - than we'd planned so we weren't worried about him outgrowing the shoes right away. We purchased a size 3 thinking it'd be between a 2 and 2.5 based on several reviews we'd read about them seeming too small for so many. Well, the shoes will certainly fit him for some time seeing as they really seem *much* truer to size, at least from our perspective. In the words of my son, "They don't fall off when they are tied." That is his way of saying they are plenty big LOL. To do over again, I'd just order what we normally would have and been done. This pair was a special request since he'd seen his older brothers all have Heelys and couldn't wait to get some of his own. They are dressy in the black/charcoal/red and still comfortable even with wheel hardware (an older version 3 of our other kids have had were not as nice, that is for sure).
